Data Use Policy

This policy describes what information we process in order to make the TattooStars application and other products and functions work.

I. What types of information do we collect?
We need to process information about you in order to provide Products and Services. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our Products.
Your actions, the actions of others, and the information you and they provide.

The information and content you provide. We collect content, messages and other information that you provide when you use our Products, including when you sign up for an account, create or share content, send messages, or interact with others. This may be information from or about the content you provide (such as metadata), such as where the photo was taken or the date the file was created. Our systems automatically process the content and messages provided by you and others to analyze their context and content for the purposes described below. Learn more about controlling who can see what you share.

Communities and Connections. We collect information about the people, hashtags, accounts, TattooStars pages you connect with and your interactions with them in our Products, specifically the people you interact with or the groups you join.

Your use of TattooStars Products. We collect information about how you use our Products, such as the types of content you view or interact with; the features you use; the actions you take; the people or accounts you interact with; and the time, frequency and duration of your actions. For example, we record data about when you use and last used our Products, what publications, videos and other content you view on our Products. We also collect information about how you use features such as our camera.

Information about the transactions you make on our Products. If you use our Products to make purchases or other financial transactions (for example, when you pay for advertising), we collect information about the purchase or transaction. This includes payment information such as credit or debit card number and other card information, other account and authentication information, billing and delivery information, and contact information.

The actions of others and the information they provide about you. We also receive and analyze content, messages and information that other people provide when they use our Products. This may include information about you, such as when other people share or comment on a photo with you, send you a message, upload, sync or import your contact information.

Information from devices.
As described below, we collect information from the computers, phones and other Internet-connected devices you use that integrate with our Products, as well as information about those devices, and we aggregate such data from the various devices you use. For example, we use the information we collect about how you use our Products on your phone to more effectively personalize the content (including ads) or features you see when you use our Products on another device, such as a laptop or tablet, or to determine whether you have taken any action in response to ads we show on your phone on another device.

We receive the following information from these devices:
Device attributes: information such as operating system, hardware and software versions.
Actions on the device: information about actions on the device, such as foreground or background window position, mouse pointer movements (this helps distinguish bots from humans).

Identifiers: unique identifiers, device identifiers, and other identifiers such as apps or accounts that you use, as well as shared device IDs (or other identifiers unique to our Products associated with the same device or account).
Device signals: Bluetooth signals and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.

Data from device settings: Information that you let us receive by enabling device settings, such as access to your location data (GPS), camera, or photos.

Network and connectivity: Information such as the name of your mobile carrier or provider, language, time zone, IP address, and connection speed.
Cookie data: data from cookies stored on your device, including cookie IDs and cookie settings.

II. How do we use this information?
We use the information we have (subject to your settings) for the purposes specified below, as well as to provide and support TattooStars Products and related services. How we use it is described below.

To provide, personalize and improve our Products.
We use the information we have to provide our Products, including personalizing features and content (including your TattooStars Newsfeed and advertising) and offering recommendations (such as publications or events you might be interested in or topics you might want to subscribe to) in and out of our Products. To create personalized Products that are unique and relevant to you, we use your connections, preferences, interests and activities as determined by the data we collect and receive from you and others (including any specially protected data you choose to provide); information about how you use and interact with our Products; and about the people, places or things you relate to and are interested in on and off our Products. Learn more about how we use information about you to personalize your use of TattooStars, including features, content and recommendations in the Products; you can also learn more about how we tailor the advertising you see.

Location Information. We use location information - such as your current location, where you live, and the companies and people near you - to provide, personalize and improve our Products, including advertising, to you and others. Location information can be derived from information such as the exact location of your device (if you let us collect this information), IP address, and information collected during the use of TattooStars Products by you and others (such as marks of visits or events you go to).
Research and development of Products. We use the available information to develop, test and improve our Products, including by conducting surveys and research, as well as testing and troubleshooting new products and features.

Advertising and other sponsored content. We use the information we have about you - including information about your interests, activities and affiliations - to tailor and personalize the advertisements, offers and other sponsored content that we display to you.

Ensuring safety, integrity and security.
We use the information we have to verify accounts and activities, combat harmful behavior, detect and prevent spam and other harmful content, ensure the integrity of our Products, and improve security and protection in TattooStars Products and beyond. For example, we use available data to investigate suspicious activities or violations of our terms and conditions, and to identify situations where someone needs our help.

To interact with you.
We use available information to send you marketing offers, communicate with you about our Products and communicate our policies and terms. We also need the information to respond to your requests.

Conducting research and innovation for the public good.
We use available information to conduct and support research and innovation on topics of general social welfare, technological advancement, public interest and welfare.

III. Publicly available information
Publicly available information is visible to all users in and out of our Products. This is your TattooStars username; any information you share with all people; the information in your public profile; and the content you share on the TattooStars Page or any other publicly accessible site. You, other users, and we may share or send publicly available information to anyone on or off our Products, in search results, or through tools and APIs. You may also view, repost, download publicly available information and access it through third-party services such as search engines, APIs and traditional media such as TV, and have these actions performed by applications, websites and other services integrated with our Products. You should exercise caution when selecting your audience, as people who may see your actions in our Products may share that information with others in and outside our Products, including people and companies outside of your selected audience. For example, when you share a publication or send a message to certain friends or accounts, they may download, screenshot or repost that content to other people in various TattooStars Products and beyond. In addition, when you comment on someones post or react to someone elses content, your comment or reaction is visible to everyone who sees that persons content, and that person can subsequently change the audience.

People can also use our Products to create content about you and share it with an audience of their choosing. For example, they can share a photo of you, mention or tag you somewhere in a publication, and share information about you in their publications or posts. If you would like to have information about you that others have shared in our Products removed, please review our content complaint process.

If all or part of our Products or their contents are taken over by or under the control of another person, we may transfer your information to the new owner.

Sharing information with third-party partners.
We work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve our Products or use TattooStars to promote their business. Through these collaborations, our companies work and provide free services to people all over the world. We do not and never will sell your information to anyone. We also strictly limit the way partners use and disclose the data we provide. Here are the types of third parties with whom we share information:

Partners who use our analytics services.
We provide aggregated statistics that help people and companies analyze users interactions with their posts, ads, videos and other content in TattooStars Products and beyond. For example, profile owners receive information on the number of people or accounts that have viewed, commented on or responded to their publications, as well as generalized demographic and other information to help them analyze interactions with their TattooStars account.

Advertisers.
We provide advertisers with reports about the types of people who view their ads and the performance of their ads, but we do not share personally identifiable information with them (such as your name or email address, which may itself be used to contact you or identify you). For example, they may receive general data and information from us about users interests (e.g.: the ad was viewed by a user from Madrid). We also provide them with proof that a particular ad has caused you to click or otherwise act in connection with the advertiser.

Measurement partners.
We share information about you with companies who aggregate your information to provide analytical and measurement reports to our partners.
Partners who offer products and services in our Products.
When you subscribe for paid content or pay for advertising in our Products, the content creator or seller may receive your publicly available information and other information you share with them, as well as information needed to complete a transaction, including delivery information and contact information.

Law enforcement and official inquiries.
We provide information to law enforcement or other authorities in response to official requests in the situations described below.

IV. How can you manage or delete information about yourself?
We provide you with options for accessing, correcting, transferring, and deleting your information. For more details, please refer to the TattooStars application Help.

We store your data until it is no longer needed to provide our services and TattooStars Products or until your account is deleted, whichever occurs first. The retention period is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on factors such as the nature of the data, the purpose of its collection and processing, and the relevant reasons for its retention in the interest of legal compliance or job security. For example, when you search for something in the App, you can access and delete a request from your search history at any time, but it will not be deleted from your search log until 6 months later.
When you delete an account at your request, we delete everything you have posted, such as your photos and status updates, and you cant restore that information later. Information about you shared by others is not part of your account and cannot be deleted. If you dont want to delete your account but want to temporarily stop using the Products, you can simply deactivate your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App Settings.

V. How do we respond to official requests or prevent harm?
We access, maintain and share your information with regulatory and law enforcement authorities and others:
Upon official request (such as a search warrant, court order, or subpoena), if we have reasonable grounds to believe that we are legally required to do so. Among other things, we may respond to formal requests from other countries if we have reasonable grounds to believe that the response should be provided in accordance with the laws of that country or territory, affects users in that country or territory and is not contrary to internationally recognized standards.

If we reasonably believe it is necessary to: detect, prevent or stop fraud, unauthorized use of the Products, violations of our terms or conditions or other harmful or illegal activities; protect ourselves (including our rights, property or the Products), you or others, including during investigations or in response to regulatory requests; or prevent death or imminent danger to health. For example, when necessary, we provide to and obtain information from third-party partners about your account reliability to prevent fraud, violations, and other malicious activity on and off our Products.

We may retain information we receive about you (including financial transaction data related to purchases through our Products) and access it for a longer period if it is the subject of an official request or statutory obligation, a government investigation or investigation into possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also retain information from accounts that have been terminated for violation of the Terms of Use Agreement for at least a year in order to prevent repeated violations or violations of other terms.

VI. How do we process and transfer data within our global services?
We share information globally with our external partners and persons with whom you communicate and share content in accordance with this policy. For example, your information may be transferred, stored and processed in the United States or other countries outside of your country of residence for the purposes described in this policy. Such data transfer is necessary to provide the services specified in the TattooStars Terms and Conditions, as well as to operate and provide our Products to you worldwide. We use standard contract clauses, rely on the European Commissions decisions on the sufficiency of the measures for the relevant countries and obtain your consent for such data transfer to the United States of America and other countries.

VII. How will we notify you of changes to this policy?
We will notify you in advance of any changes to this policy and give you an opportunity to review the revised version before you decide whether to continue using our Products.

VIII. How do I ask us a question?
You can learn more about our privacy practices. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us as described below.
